Anne,

We're in the same predicament I guess.

I am sleeping on the 25mg of Amitriptyline, but not perfectly. If I take a higer dose, I feel really groggy during the day and get that feeling of really being under the influence of meds, you know what I mean.

The problem with trying to ween of Amitriptyline and attempt 'natural sleep'm is that there is never the right time for it. I am terrified of having bad nights especially when I have an important event at work, or a date or social event, or any commitements the next day.

I think the best thing is to start taking only half a pill and see how that works. And maybe try to get off all meds during an extended weekend over the summer or something. Then, I'll try the Melatonin or try taking just a tiny bit of both...

Thanks everyone,

-Jay
