I know what you mean about worrying if new medicine will help, It worries me that trying something else and then trying something else. I think "well, the last one didn't work, why should this one?" Then I stress out about it so much that I think that causes the medicine NOT to work. I've tried Seroquel, it didn't do a thing for me. As far as stopping medicine, that doesn't bother me, I'm never really on the medicine for a long time, so I don't think that I have built up an addiction to them. The only thing that I take now is Gabitril 12mg and 6mg of melatonin. According to my neuro, the gabitril is supposed to "consolidate my sleep", that means it is supposed to Keep me asleep, once I fall asleep. out of all of the meds I've been on, this one seems to be the best for me right now. I've noticed a little bit of improvement, not much, but a little. You may want to ask your dr. about it. (It is actually an epileptic drug)
