Nothing you have said has offended me. I understand your frustration. Insomnia is something that we all will have to struggle with for the rest of our lives unless the underline cause is found. In most cases it isn't. Even if we get it "in control" by doing all the "right things", one little slip up can trigger a terrible bout that may last for days or weeks. Sometimes we do nothing wrong. We have to work a hundred times harder than normal sleepers to sleep. It is always a battle.
"Insomnia is an under-diagnosed and under-treated disease with socioeconomic ramifications" says Dr.
Robert Levy, president of wyeath-ayerst Research.
Insomnia is a true disease so don't beat yourself up over it anymore. Just do the best you can, and we will get our stories out to the media, and put an end to the stigmas for once and for all. Hopefully in the process, this disease will be treated as a disease and not a character flaw.Meg
