I'm currently taking serzone, a trazodone relative, for severe PPD, insomnia, anxiety, and panic. The serzone has helped me in all areas, however, with the sleeping, although I can now fall asleep at night, I usually awaken in middle of night and have varying dregress of success in falling back to sleep, usually no more than 2 hours awake though. But it's been FAR, FAR better than what it was like before. Zoloft nearly made me kill myself from intensifiying my already severe insomnia and PPD. But the reality is zoloft should NOT be prescribed to an insomniac. Period. My psychiatrist was very clear on that. It wires most people. It's just the way the drug is. 'Nuff said about that. Serzone may be a better choice, or as the other post said, adding trazodone in the picture if the dr OK's it. Addie
