What is Effexor? Is it an antidepressant? Is it sedative?
Also, if you feel your depression or low mood is a direct cause of your sleep problem, than you are probably right. Don't let any doctor give you an antidepressant drug that is not sedative, or it will not work. In fact, it may make your insomnia worse. Most doctors tell everyone with insomnia that it is caused by depression.(They don't know what else to say.) Ask anyone here. We have all had the same experiences.
