barbarella: No, it didn't affect my weight; maybe because I didn't take it for very long on a consistent basis. I only took it for about a month before I started to experiment with sleeping without it and had some success. I, too, sometimes take a very small amount of it if I want to break a bad sleep pattern. When I only take it sporadically though, I have to deal with that hang-over feeling each time I use it. I usually decide that it's not worth it. I still think of Remeron as being what turned the whole insomnia problem around for me and got me sleeping on my own again. Oh yeah, I didn't experience the dry throat problem either.
