Barbarella, I think it's possible to get breakthrough withdrawal symptom (including insomnia) a long time after you've finished weaning off a benzo, even six months or a year later.

I've heard of people getting into trouble with ambien and especially the SSRI antidepressant Paxil (!!), but I don't think any of it compares to benzo withdrawal. When I went through benzo withdrawal I was unbelievably sick for many months. And I'd only taken it a short time.
