David Paul....Eating healthy does not mean staying away from carbs...if you mean simple carbs like white sugar, flour, etc. it's best to try to eliminate them, but whole grain carbs are very healthy and a necessary and integral part of a healthy diet.....so as not to gain weight, one's caloric intake should correspond to one's height, build and level of activity per day! I have done a lot of research on healthy and nutritious diets....and of course I'm speaking for those who are healthy and do not possess any diseases(i.e. diabetes,etc. etc.) which require specific and modified diets...Andrea.
