Dee, when I was weaning off benzos (ativan, in my case), my doc had me dissolve a 1.0 mg (or was it 10 mg, I don't remember) pill in 10 ounces of water. If I was at, say, the 7.5 mark, I would drink down 7 oz. of the solution, then measure out the rest of the dose with an eye dropper. I had carefully measured out how many drops was in an ounce of the solution, and I was careful that the pill was very well dissolved and stirred just before drinking so that the stuff at the top of the glass was the same strength as the stuff at the bottom of the glass. This whole procedure got to be totally routine after the first few days.
