Alex hello!! Welcome to club AA. Anxiety
Anonymous :-]] I was about your age when I had
my first full blown anxiety attack. It was bad
mainly because I had no idea what was happening.
I was also an officer in the Air Force which compounded the problem. I could not deal with it medically because it would ruin my Air Force career. So I endured. It was not until about 11 years ago that I focused on the issue of
GAD. That was when I finally found a doc that would give me treatment that worked for me. With all the different people in this site you will read stories that will remind you of yourself. You will also find out that you are not alone and there is hope. I will be 61 on the 28th and the past 11 years have been the best years of my life. The people here have
a wide variance of treatments because we are all different but we are all the same in that our problems are relatively the same. It is also good to be able to talk to others with similar problems. Keep trying and when you find something that works stick with it. A positive attitude about life is also great to have. Life
is wonderful!! Chuck
