too much stuff maybe to him but security blankets to us huh? :) i really recommend you look into books and/or cds that discuss acceptance. without it, its very hard to accept that you are a sensative sleeper. i study buddhism myself. i also began volunteering my time with a local hospice and nursing home! to see others who suffer with the same problems and worse (obviously) made me feel much less alone.

do what you need to do to relax and just ask your hubby to respect your comfort zone. i would be intimate with hubby even if i felt terrible and stressed because ultimately it makes me happy to have a happy relationship, know what i mean? i wouldnt want my hubby to close up on me during stressful times either.

i know this sounds negative but i think about folks who have illnesses where one of the symptoms is insomnia and they are stuck with it regardless of what they do to relax. assuring yourself that your not alone helps. it seems like so many illnessness and events can result in insomnia. its something humans have had to deal with probably since the beginning of time. you either fight it or accept it. accepting it reduces soooo much stress!!
