selective memory

Posted by Missbiggles on February 11, 2004 at 17:13:45:

Hi , I've been avidly reading these forums to overcome my current bout of insomnia. It seems I have a selective memory when it comes to sleep because even if I have only one really good night in amongst weeks of bad nights, I only ever remember the good night and vica versa ...so I prob should keep a sleep diary.
Anyway, each time I get insomnia I try and find the cause and this time the only thing I can come up with is that I went cold turkey from alcohol and nicotine 9 weeks ago..BUT if that's the case, why didn't I have insomnia from the beg?
Has anyone else given up long addictive drugs and suffered insomnia weeks later?
I HATE INSOMNIA!
thanks for listening
Charlotte

PS: Do you think the more you get done in a day i.e..both constructive and creative , the more likely you sleep?
