Hi Mr Crusader,

I'm no expert on alcohol but I've read that red wine is actually pretty good for you. If I were to drink wine nightly I would definately choose the red variety.

Back when I was early on with my sleep problems I used to try drinking a glass or two of red wine a half-hour before bed. Initially it worked great!!! Then.......nothing......it completely stopped working so I discontinued its use.

Maybe after this long you are using it as a mental crutch to go to sleep. Or, who knows, maybe its actually helping a bit....its hard to say. But I don't think I'd go upping my doseage of it if you are already at 2 glasses per night. (That's just my opinion)

Actually these days I enjoy drinking wine. I probably drink 2 or 3 nights out of the week.....I love trying different varieties.....but I make sure that I finish at least 3 hours before bedtime so that it does not interrupt my sleep. It definately eases you into a state of calmness, which is nice becuase I live in a house with four girls. (One wife, 3 daughters under 8)

By the way I'm also into music. In fact write, play and record my own songs. I've played the guitar and piano for 20 years and have a small recording studio at home.
I used to be in a band back in college which was great fun, but not real profitable.

Hope things go well for you....take care...Tom
