How do they monitor my sleep?

Posted by Molly on February 23, 2004 at 19:02:31:

Since I haven’t been sleeping in…well ever, I talked to some people from our Children’s Hospital about a special sleep clinic they have for adolescence. They said that they would watch me sleep…that kind of freaks me out and PLUS, how am I supposed to fall asleep for them to watch me! My whole problem is I can’t sleep…do they give you tranquilizers or something? I wanted to try some other stuff before going there, but I think I need to face it now. I’ve always been pretty afraid of hospitals and doctors. This is really scary to me. Has anyone else done this type thing that can tell me about what it’s like?
thanks
