Hello Carla

Unfortunatly Im in England (wish I was in california, the weathers sh*t over here!)so I dont really know where would be best for you to start looking.
If its any help I refered to an organisation called "Mind". They are a very reputable charity dealing with all sorts of mental/psychological issues. they gave me details of several therapists who met their standards of training etc.
Is there any thing like this in the States?
Its important to find someone who is properly qualified as, at least in England anyway, there seems to be plenty of poorly trainned people who have set up as psychotherapists. They are out to make easy money from venerable people & could make matters worse.

Best of luck though!

Take care - Steveo.
