Yes I have experienced this. I can only assume that because we have not slep properly the type of sleep we are drifting into has bypassed the normal sequence and the body alerts us to wake up. For example if it was in 3 stages and 3 being the deepest sleep and we jump to that first then we wake as if we were falling? Hope this makes sense. dont forget you are not alone in the early hours when you wake so please take comfort in that. Best Wishes Crusader
