Muscle Twitching - Sonata ?

I've had muscle twitching all over my body for about a year now. Last night my left forearm started jerking about every 20 seconds and it's still doing so this morning. This typeof jerking can defintely wake you up. I've been taking Sonata and drinking wine at night. Does anyone know if this can cause muscle twitching. My doctor is totally clueless as the twitching.
