I agree with sleepynj's comments. My problem was also anxiety with insomnia as a symptom. You definitely will benefit from cognitive therapy. I do want to point out that most cognitive therapists combine behavioral therapy with it, which is what SRT is. For me, practicing SRT (nothing extreme), helped immensely with the anxiety. I was also focusing on stopping negative thinking and learning relaxation techniques, especially during the daytime.
