Melatonin (5 - HTP)

Posted by bpatrick on March 05, 2004 at 07:37:53:

I've noticed if I take 2 5-HTP pills I have a higher probability of sleeping 5 hours straight thru but I feel tired the next evening. I think the amount on the bottle said 100 mg and I'm not sure what that converts to in mg of Melatonin. How much melatonin or 5-HTP or Tryptophan do people take and what are your observations of how it affects you. Do people take timed release and does that improve it's effectiveness in terms of longevity of sleep ?

Thanks.
