using sonata and ambien

Posted by al on June 07, 2004 at 06:01:29:

I use approx 7.5 mg ambien to get to sleep(if natural sleep doesnt come-about half the time) and then an additional 5mg when I will wake up during the night.

On nights when i do get to sleep un-aided but wake up at a few hours early i use a 10mg sonata as it has fewer side effects.

Does anyone know of any side effects of alternating these meds. I never take both in the same night.
