Slow and gradual improvement

Posted by otis on June 08, 2004 at 09:27:47:

I have had trouble sleeping for about 18 months. I have followed good sleep hygiene and used sleep restriction. My improvement was very gradual: two steps forward and one step back. It seemed like no improvement at all. And on the nights I do not sleep well(which now is 3-5 hours sleep), I am still a little dissappointed. The message is that sometimes the cure is fast and sometimes it is slow but to keep the faith. I am much better off than in the beginning. I have a physical problem with the prostrate that has slowed my recovery. But I am healthier than even before my insomnia started.
