Hell On Earth

Posted by Dumb as a Fish on June 08, 2004 at 10:48:52:

Well, I don't have anything new to add that you haven't heard before or experienced your self. I am a severe chronic insomniac with many other sleep disorders as well. I am 36 and just developed nighttime Bruxism this past winter. I go for weeks at a time without being able to sleep at all. I cannot remember the last time I had eight hours of sleep but it was several years ago and now I cannot remember the last time I even had 4 hours of sleep. Last night I took 9-10 OTC sleeping pills PLUS regular Tylenol and to my astonishment I still could not knock myself out. I even considered trying a hammer but didn't have the energy.
I have been taking my body temperature twice a day every day and have noticed that during the day my temp is lower than at night. At noon it will be around 97. something and by midnight it is 99.1. And I feel too hot at night while in bed yet fine when out of bed. But I installed an A/C and even with being cooler now I still don't sleep. It is really bizarre. Has anyone else out there noticed this increase in body temperature at night?? I have also considiered that I may be perimenopausal but really don't have any symptoms of it besides the insomnia. So I think maybe my body clock is just completely reversed for some strange reason. Shouldn't my body temp be FALLING at night rather than rising?
