hi
sleep restriction the way i understand it is not so much a case of being woken and getting up but more a case of not trying to nap outside of your normal bedtime. also confining your time in bed to sleeping only. if u wake and stay awake and its not time to get up then get up for a little while only, then go back to bed. normally the bed will feel a lot more cosy and inviting by doing this which can invite sleep. it doesnt always work but sure is a lot less painful than looking at the clock every 5 minutes.
hope it helps even a little.
