Thank you for your reactions. Tonight i found out that gradually reducing the dose is a better way to eventually stop using Ambien. I didn't take any Ambien at all last night. At first i didn't experience any really bizarre things. I slept from 1 am to around 5:30 am (i expected to sleep alot less). I had some very intense dreams and i woke up a couple of times, but each time i managed to get back to sleep. When i woke up i didn't feel really rested but atleast i slept. Then i got some breakfast, took the news paper and started reading it. Somehow the reading made me really dizzy, and eventually made me throw up. that was about 2 hours ago and i still feel hung over. I wonder if its because of the bad sleep i had or the sudden absence of ambien. I fear its that second thing. Scary that over the past years i've build up such a dependency on Ambien. I'll talk to my docter about it today, and see what his opinion is.
