Effect of Restoril on me

I have taken it several times now. Last night I took 30mg and I feel like it all it does is make me relaxed, but not fall asleep. It makes the night go by faster, not being anxious a bit, but I am surprised no sleep comes. It is like a lower level of consciousness or something. Anyone else notice this?
