My sleeping problems started with the birth of an insomniac baby. I never had sleeping problems before. It is so frustrating now. 4 years later, she has learned to sleep, but I still can't. I feel no anxiety at night either. I just can't sleep and then am a mess all day. At night, I just look forward to having time by myself to chill out as life is so demanding in the day. I am still determined there is something wrong with me, but don't know if I will ever find out what that is.
I find that if I watch anything negative before bed, or read it, I will be really tense at night though and make things worse. Have you tried any of those tapes where they talk you through the process of relaxing your muscles or put you in another place? Sometimes those help me, by being distracting.
I saw the mentions of NYC. I live in Massachusetts, so not the case with me.
