Still on Ambien

Hey guys--

I used to post as darrennyc or laninyc... but i lost my password. it has been a few months since my last post but i am still on Ambien... albeit 5mg now per night.

I have been on Paxil CR 12.5mgs. since July 1st and it created more insomnia for me so I had to continue taking the Ambien to help.

I was in Hawaii recently on vacation and one night I tried to go without Ambien cause I was so tired and exhausted... it was one of the worst nights of sleep... woke up every hour... and was kinda tense... it might also have been jetlag and it was super-duper hot and humid with no AC... but I was back on the Ambien after that.

I have been on the Ambien since mid-April (4.5 months) and am wondering what kind of side effects are there for such a prolonged use? Does anyone know? Also, I want to start weaning off of it soon.. does anyone know of withdrawals?
