How is everybody doing?

Posted by looking for zzz on September 20, 2004 at 16:55:47:

It seems quiet today. Hopefully, that is a sign that everyone slept well over the weekend.

I've slept reasonably well over the past 3 weeks getting somewhere between 5 1/2 to 7 hours of sleep per night. Some nights feel like deep sleep whereas others feel somewhat light.

Two things I want to say about my situaton..
1. thank goodness for SR. For those of you who are on sleep meds are dreading the consequences of weaning from meds, please look into SR. It's been over a month since I've taken ambien and can tell you that I am sleeping much better now than I ever did with full (10mgs) of ambien.

2. The more you sleep, the less you feel anxious about sleep. But then you get greedy. I remember one day when I was going through my initial insomnia "onslaught". You know, when you feel like you have the flu everyday because you don't sleep and you don't know if it is ever going to get better. I told people that it was so bad that if someone guaranteed me 6 hours of sleep every night, I would sign up right away. Well, I have stretches where I average over 6 1/2 hours of sleep and still wish I could squeeze in another 1/2 hour. I guess for an insomniac, this would qualify as a "good" problem.

Anyway, hope everybody is doing well.
