I suspect the Ativan is causing as much insomnia as it's curing it. Klonopin knocked me out for a few hours but then made it impossible to get back to sleep. You are doing a lot of the right things so maybe you need to stop the Ativan and see what happens. Maybe the Ativan is causing rebound anxiety (Klonopin did that for me too). Do you take vitamins or supplements? I found Vitamin-B (especially B-6, B-12, and Inositol) can really calm me down. They even stop my heart from pounding. They won't put you to sleep but they can calm your nerves. And if you cannot do strict SR, try a more relaxed SR. That is what I am doing. I don't clock watch, but just stay up late till I'm real tired.
