Daisy,

There are many components that affect a person's ability to fall asleep, stay asleep or get deep sleep. Obviously, medical issues and prescribed treatments can have a huge impact on your sleep.

If you "worry" about sleeping, you may also have a behavioral issue that is contributing to your ability to sleep. The good news is that you can re-prograam yourself so that you can better manage the behavioral component.

There are two books that are great for this "re-programming." Desperately Seeking Snoozin and Say Goodnight to Insomnia.

FYI.. When I got my sleep study done, I had no sleep beyond stage 1,2 and REM. I think being in an environment like a sleep clinic just adds to any difficulties a person may have in sleeping.

Any, just my 2cents.
