I have been taking Ambien on and off for about a year, but daily since July. I started having really bad headaches, back pain, swelling in my hands, dizziness and blurred vision. Upon researching Ambien on the Internet, I found out all of these symptoms are potential side effects. So, I stopped taking it Monday of this week. I haven't had any trouble sleeping...ironically, I've slept better the last two nights than I have in months! I am, however, having terrible migraines and still some trouble with my eyes. They are bloodshot like I have pink eye/conjunctivitis and first thing in the morning, I'm still having trouble with the blurred vision. Hula girl, I'm sure you've probably tried everything at this point to get some sleep, but perhaps a hot bath with lavendar? Just a thought...it has helped both me and my baby in the past...maybe some green tea? Hang in there. It can only get better...everyday you are closer to having it totally out of your system.
