Tom,

Sure I do. I've been through all kinds of weird stuff. Sometimes I sleep well for a few days in a row. You know, deep sleep. Sometimes, I go for days just sleeping very lightly. I rarely read a post where someone asks "has anyone been through this?" and not have said to myself, "yup, been through that."

I did go through a really good cycle during X'mas. I went for a week where I slept over 7 hours every night. I even pulled an 8 1/2 hr night out of the bag. Then, shortly after, I went into a bad patch.

If I were in this patch for too long, I would probably shorten my in bed time by 15-30 minutes. That way, I would be more tired in the beginning of the night and presumably sleep deeper. I'm not making a suggestion, just sharing how I personally experiment from time to time. I personally seem to sleep more deeply on nights that I am in sleep debt.
