Molly,

First of all, anytime you have a question, feel free to ask. I'll answer questions daily if you want me to. I check this board every day.

As far as getting out of bed goes.....I never was much for that -- probably to a fault. I always found it very depressing to actually get up and leave for an extended period of time. HOWEVER, If nothing was happening after an hour or so, I usually would get up and walk around. Or go to the fridge and grab a bite to eat. It'a amazing how getting up and walking around just for a few minutes can sometimes help.

Or another trick would be just to sit up in bed for a few minutes. This accomplishes basically the same thing.

Of course I know alot of people say to get up and leave the bed so you can better associate the bed with sleep, but that just never really registered with me. It was more of a physical thing for me. Walking around a bit occasionally would snap me out of my funk.

But you sound to me like you are getting the hang of things. Your "this is a load of crap" line is exactly my sentiments. I couldn't have said it any better. But you know what? You have to LIVE that way. You can't just say it. You have to BE it. And by the way -- You can still be scared. And you can still be paralyzed by anxiety...but you have to realize that it really IS a bunch of crap.

I used to tell myself that stuff all the time! I think I've said before on here how I used to talk to myself outloud -- like a real-life psycho! And that wasn't something I learned somewhere. It was just real, angry emotion just flowing out.

But I'm betting you will figure this whole thing out. It may take a while...but you'll slowly start to gather more and more info about yourself. You'll learn what works and what doesn't....and what your best plan of action (or inaction) is.

Take care of yourself. Tom
