Onat
I know how you feel, especially about going away. I love the
idea
of traveleing and going to other places but I know I will not
sleep once I get there and it tortures me to think about it. I have
most my family in Italy and I am planning on going there again
in a few months for a wedding, I am already panicking!
Since your insurance does not cover mental health can you
maybe see if there is a sleep clinic in a hospital or
something....sometimes if its affiliated with a hospital maybe
somehow they can cover it. I don't know. Or maybe a clinic.
I wish I had an answer for you....unfortunately I can't seem to
solve my own sleep issues without drugs. I have full blown
panic attacks a lot. My problem is a bit different from yours in
that I just can't sleep and I want to be "unconcoius", but none
the less the panic is still there. Just know you are not alone.
If you need to talk this is a wonderful bunch of people with great
advice.
Plese check into clinics or sleep centers and just see even if they
have a sliding scale...just someplace to start you off.

Good Luck
Mom
