Will I make it through this?

I am brand new on this forum, and I first stumbled upon it a couple months ago when this hellish insomnia started, and I was too anxious even to read the posts. I have sleep onset insomnia, and I've been really, really, really struggling through some dark days. I could have written half the posts here--the panic I feel, the obsessive thinking about sleep, the what ifs, the struggles with medication, the loss of joy, and the seed of hope I try to protect in my soul. I haven't tried sleep restriction and I'd like to start. If anyone out there could offer me a schedule to start with, I'd appreciate it. I'd be happy right now with 5-6 hours of sleep/night. I have to get up for work at 7am. My sleep has ranged from 1 hour (last night) to 7 hours last week. I've been in the middle of a week long set-back and it has me incredibly spooked and feeling so sad. Thanks for your help.
