You're welcome, Seeking sleep

I hope you are doing ok. I remember when I first came on here, I was in a similar situation as you. I read this forum for a month or so before I actually got the courage to post something. But I finally did, and this guy named Paul replied with a deep, thoughtful, sympathetic post. And I just remember how great of a feeling it was that someone I didn't even know -- who had gone through the same thing -- had not only overcome it, but had the thoughtfulness to lend a helping hand. I'll always be greatful to him and others like him for giving me a spark of hope. And even though I didn't use their exact method, their words and their stories were comforting.

So here I am in the same spot....I just hope I can do the same thing. To me, the worst thing about this condition (especially for new insomniacs) is that there sometimes seems to be little hope to go around. And if there's one thing I do have to offer, it's that there IS hope. We all have to get through this thing in our own way. And we all need to choose our own best course of action. But the first thing you've got to have is hope. After that, it's all downhill.

Good luck. Tom
