SS,

I started a thread in forum 24 regarding. I posted to the link to that thread in my previous reply to you. Essentially, I was looking for the same "profile" that you are asking about. Some people who consider themselves recovered replied and provide proof that many people have gotten their lives back.

My profile is no longer up to date. At this point, my life is 10x better than it was when I started that thread. Just as give you an idea, my best sleep week (occurred during X'mas), I was averaging about 7 1/2 hours of sleep.

Keep your eye out for previous posts from Chris, Beth, Sleepynj, Tom-N-Texas. Those folks have generally posted inspiring replies.

My experience with the scary posts is that they normally come from desperate people who have no idea where to begin to help themselves get better. Most of the people who have discovered cognitive behavioral therapy rarely contribute the desparate sounding posts. Generally, the CBT kicks in withing a few days. And while it does take time to recover, it doesn't take too terribly long before one begins to believe and find hope.
