Tom,

All great information. I'll have to see if I can get the breath thing! And I may try the sheet and fan thing. My husband would love that!

You would still say that the most important factor was chinging your attitude and the way you dealt with anxiety right?

One other thing. You said the other day that getting out of bed when you didn't sleep didn't seem to helpyou all that much. I feel like I'm watching the clock and going, "Whoops! I've been up 20 minutes... I better get out of bed and go read somewhere else." I think that watching the clock is making me anxoius. Was this the case for you. Cause really, I am not afraid of my bed. I love my bed, I just dread the middle of the night wake ups. Just wondered.

Anyway, thanks for sharing your sleep suggestions. I would love to have something else to put my mind on when I wake up in the middle of the night. I have such a difficult time redirecting thoughts to anything other than, "what if I can't go back to sleep." But I'm working on it and I am committed to changing my thinking. One more question. Did working through your insomnia change not only your way of thinking about incomnia but also about your whole life? And prior to having insomnia, did you have trouble with anxiety at all?

Thanks -

Molly
