hi hopeandfaith

Thanks for your recent postings, which also led to some interesting replies. This is surely a forum where people post interesting ideas and provide gentle support.

A gook I would suggest is _Peace is Every Step_, by Thich Nhat Hanh. He is a buddhist monk originally from Viet Nam, now living in France, who also works in North America and elsewhere. His books describe a kind of meditation called 'mindfulness meditation'. This particular book is a wonderful and pleasant intro to his ideas, including lots of simple "how-to's". His attitude is very optimistic.

For me, one useful thing about Hanh's work is that meditation itself has been effective for me in dealing with many anxieties, including anxiety about sleep problems. He presents a very hopeful picture.

Good luck to you on a sunny morning from Ontario, Canada.
