You have a common problem that many on this board have or have had. I also have sleep maintenance insomnia. Depression is also associated with early morning awakenings. Your job may actually be a sleep blessing in disguise. It is important to have a set wake up time and to try to stick with it. When you wake up, get up after 20 minutes or at any point you become frustrated, and do some non-stimulating acitivity. I either read under a dim light or I meditate. Read the book "Say Goodnight to Insomnia." Many have improved their sleep, and you can to. The lack of sleep gives rise to frustration, anxiety, and depression if you let it. Even now when I have a bad streak, I start getting that old anxiety.
