I know what you're saying...Dealing with insomnia all week and has forced me to be nicer to myself. I realized by myself and by reading a lot of postings here, that it does absolutely no good to add insult to injury--to wake up exhausted and then berate yourself for not sleeping and work yourself up into a anxious, angry frenzy. I realized that if I was going to survive this sleep deprivation, I had to treat myself like gold...to keep encouraging myself that it was going to be ok, almost the way you would talk to a young child. What's the moral of that? That I should treat myself this way ALL the time, not just when I'm going through a crisis.
