It's not just not sleeping.

I feel that alot of the horrible symptoms of not sleeping --
worry about being unable to stay awake when driving, worry about how to cope at work when you are exhausted, worry about making mistakes because you can't concentrate, worry about what people think when you do cos they can't possibly understand how bad this problem is if they don't have it, never looking forward to a social event because you know you won't sleep before it etc etc etc ------are all part of the complaint. So when looking for a solution you need to look outside the box.

My insomnia is nearly cured - but if I have a bad night I don't suffer any of the above (though I did for years) - I just yawn a bit more and probably snooze in front of the tv before bed (like a normal person) which makes me think that the worry and stress are part of the problem - so if you can recognise something causing that in your life or past you might get near to the answer.

A message by Tomwith2cats with comments by a ?sleepexpert made we want to write cos I disagree with her :-
"She points out that the main cause of people feeling
exhausted the next day is fragmentation of sleep,
which means that you have lots of short wakenings.
These can be so short you have no memory of them."
