SR vs. CBT vs. Other Methods

Posted by DCTom on May 20, 2005 at 05:59:52:

I just want to say that I think it's OK for us to "debate" a little, as long as we all stay civil. There are many different and varied cures to insomnia. I've read about one guy on this site who found his cure through Elavil, another by drinking juice, another by not eating chicken, still others who use SR, and others who just wait it out. There seems to be no end to the ways it can be cured. All of these methods needs to be aired-out and explained so that each of us can find our own cure. Let's just keep reminding each other of that. Insomnia is a horrible and frustrating problem. We need to be gentle and encouraging because when you're sleep deprived, it's a real vulnerable and scary time.
