Thanks for the kind words. Many of you have suffered for years, and I am only going on 6 weeks. It seems longer, let me tell you. I have already been through the fears of death, job loss, unemployment, etc., and this board has helped me with those already (thank you). I continue to be amazed that I can function as well as I can on 2-3 hours of sleep (sometimes less). I am going to start on a 12-6 SR schedule starting tonight. It gets tougher with the sun up so early, so maybe I will do 12 - 5:30 for starters. Re the Paxil, I have seen that it can cause insomnia but I can't see that it is worse than before I started it (7 or 8 days). My anxiety level is reduced, but of course I don't really know the reason why that is. The only bad Paxil symptom is sour bitter dry mouth. I had dry mouth since the anxiety started, but now it is sour and bitter. The reason that I have dropped the Ambien is that it seems to affect me all day long and I only sleep 3 hours or so with it. It also has unpleasant stomach related side affects for me.
