You can also try 11:30pm to 5:30pm. If you do sleep restriction or sleep scheduling, be sure to stick with it. The first few nights may be a little tough. But once you get the hang of it, your life will be changed for the better.
There are other little tips to keep in mind...
- no looking at clocks between 12am and 6am (or whatever your sleep schedule is)
- in the beginnning, your sleep will be "delicate" so for now, avoid caffeine after 2pm. When your sleep system becomes more robust, you will be able to ease up on this.
- no naps for now. Same thing, when your night time sleep becomes more robust, you will be able to take naps again.
- don't do anything too stimulating or exciting an hour before bed time. No fighting with significant others and no fretting over bills. Those things are day time activities, not night time activities.
- did I mention not to look at any clocks during your sleep schedule?Like I said, it takes time for sleep to become organized again. If at first things are difficult, just hang in there and keep at it.
