Can I also add, there are many "alternative" treatments for anxiety and depression (vitamins, whey protein, herbs, etc.) that you might want to explore. There are many good books and websites on this subject. I feel many times our bodies have become depleted of the things it needs, in terms of nutrition and vitamins. I know for me, Vitamin B helps. These things usually come with little or no side-effects. Do some research and you might find some help without resorting to SSRI's. Finally, I agree that it's amazing how much you can do with 2-3 hours of sleep. In the beginning stages of my insomnia, this alone FREAKED me out and I was certain there was something majorly wrong with me. But I ultimately realized that we can indeed operate on very little sleep. Sometimes I feel that I've done so for so long, my body doesn't even know what to do with a lot of sleep!:)
