I wake up around three times during the night! I don't like it at all. I take a couple of magnesium capsules or 2 aspirin to get back to sleep. I got into the bad habit of eating something as well. Usually I will play a relaxation tape also which helps going back to sleep. Then I seem to be able to go back to sleep. I am taking less medication and maybe that is why I am waking up so much. I want to go down even further from now 1 mg. Ativan to 3/4 and then 1/2 mg. That would be an accomplishment for me. Also, I have been serios about anchoring my sleep: i.e., getting up at 7 every morning. I notice that I am able to fall asleep better at night and I am grateful for that. Perhaps little by little, things will be getting better. As long as you can go back to sleep, it is something to be grateful for.
