Good for you, Tom. It is always good to get to the bottom of things. --Sleep has been an issue for me for many years. But I have had good and then bad spells. Lately, I have had the strong desire to get off the Ativan that I have been taking.--

I have in the last few weeks forced myself to get up every morning at the same time. I know it is hard to do and one is soo tempted to grab another 30 minutes or whatever. But then I noticed that I have difficulty falling asleep at night when I sleep in. When I stick to my get up time and anchor my sleep, it really seems to pay off. I am waking up usually three times at night which is no fun. But some hot milk and a couple of aspirin or magnesium tablets and playing my relaxation tape (very low) seems to help me get back to sleep.

I am grateful for that even though I always feel like I need more sleep. Perhaps after a few months of this, I will improve even more.

I am just sharing the above to stress the importance of getting up at the same hour every day and that it really does help.

Wishing you a good night's sleep.
