You know you sound like me - i used to be like that and sort of am now too but not as bad - if i had to have a dinner i wouldn't sleep for 3 nights before and be exhausted - i think i still did things most of the time and sometimes went to the occasion very tired but i think as we get older we realize we really sweated the small stuff - but again i would say i would still try to do some things even if you are tired - as you can see from this board many of us are functioning without 8 hours of sleep - and eventually you will prove to yourself that you can do this and have some fun sometimes - i have still a BIG problem with vacation - when we went on an Alaskan cruise i was awful for 4 days - i hardly slept and cried and cried because I felt bad for my husband - toward the end of the week i was sleeping little but never did sleep much - i won't go on any cruise anymore - don't want to do that to my husband - he isn't much of a traveler either but when i do travel occasionally maybe once a year i take tranquilizers with me - i know people on this board don't do that but i only use them for when i am away but i do admit to you that if i am going to have a BIG day - i will take 1/2 or 1 mg of Ativan to help me rest better so I can enjoy the day - i know it is a crutch but that is how my life is - can't help it - i am sort of like you - anything different will upset my psyche or something - anyway - good luck - just remember YOU ARE NOT ALONE - go out once in a while - just for a short period of time and build it up that way - just a little bit - you will be happier if you can do a few fun things - and once you prove to yourself you can do it - you will do more and more - anyway - keep in touch with us - Take Care and God loves you remember that.
