Insomnia has made it very difficult for me to have a relationship because of the sleep situation. Now, being older, it is no longer an issue for me. But my suggestion would be to separate for the sleep part of the night so you can both get some decent sleep.

The best thing is to talk it over with your girlfriend and be honest. If you are both willing, you can work something out.
